In 2023, Methodist Health System ranked No. 3 as a Gold Top 10 Military Friendly® Employer and No. 4 as a Top 10 Military Friendly® Spouse Employer. Methodist also received recognition for its Military Friendly® Supplier Diversity Program. The designations were presented by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that connects the military community to civilian employment and educational and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Only three organizations in the country received Healthcare Diversity Council’s top award. We are honored to be among them. We believe that our dedication to being a more inclusive and equitable workplace is making a difference in healthcare.
Diversity initiatives are part of every level of our organization. On our corporate Intentional Inclusion and Diversity Council, senior executives oversee our leadership’s commitment to inclusion, the talent pipeline, learning and development, and supplier diversity.
In addition, we have Intentional Inclusion and Diversity Collaboratives at our hospitals that gather feedback on how to improve patient care, train clinical teams to respond to patients’ unique cultural needs; and educate employees about LGBT patient care, social determinants of health, and more.
