Methodist Health System Named Best Place to Work by Becker’s Hospital Review

DALLAS – Methodist Health System is pleased to announce that it has been named to the 2011 Becker's Hospital Review/ Becker's ASC Review list of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The 100 workplaces named to this list represent a wide spectrum of facilities, from leading health systems to small community hospitals to ambulatory surgery centers and physician practices. Each organization has put tremendous thought into the building blocks that make up a great workplace: robust benefits, opportunities for self-improvement, employee appreciation and strong ties between staff members, to name a few. These organizations set and meet high standards for employee satisfaction and demonstrate to the industry that quality care begins with an engaged workforce.

This list was created through a three-month nomination process, extensive research and feedback from health care industry leaders on the final selection of candidates. For a variety of reasons, the editors ultimately determined to focus the list on hospitals, health systems, surgery centers and large physician practices.

The Becker's Hospital Review award is the latest in several Best Place to Work awards bestowed upon Methodist Health System. For seven consecutive years, Methodist has been named a top winner in the Best Places to Work employee survey conducted by the Dallas Business Journal. In recent years, Methodist has also earned a place as a top employer in the Dallas Top Workplaces 2009 recognitions by The Dallas Morning News, and in nationally recognized top worksites by Modern Healthcare magazine.

Becker's Hospital Review is a Chicago-based publication focusing on hospital business, finance, legal advice, and industry news. The primary contributors and audience for this publication are hospital executives and healthcare industry leaders.
